Mike Adey started Lakeside Enterprises in the early 90’s as a part time job to help support his growing family. He installed decks, docks, and boat ramps for a local manufacturer in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. As time progressed Mike’s part time job became a full time career.

When the manufacturer was sold, the operation was moved to a new location. Mike wanted to stay in the area so he began selling, installing, and maintaining the new owners products in the Whiteshell. As demand increased, Mike was asked to start manufacturing all of the small components he needed for his own projects. This was the beginning of Lakeside’s manufacturing facility, which at the time was his garage at home.

By the early 2000’s Mike’s top notch customer service and dedication to making every installation perfect had his business growing quickly and the manufacturer had Mike building more than just component parts for himself to keep up with the demand. Eventually Lakeside Enterprises and the manufacturer agreed to part ways. Mike took a leap of faith and built his own manufacturing shop in Rennie Manitoba.

Once Mike began manufacturing all products in house, he began improving the quality and designs. After years of installing, servicing, and maintaining decks, docks, and boat ramps he had found many things that he could improve upon. He made sure that all of his designs were stronger and easier to use than anything he had worked with in the past.

Mike always strived for perfection both in the product and the installation of the products. Every year our products improve.

Mike started taking his son Mitch, at the age of 5, to estimates and job sites to teach him all the “tricks of the trade”. After working many summers, weekends, and evenings as a grunt and gopher, Mitch had learnt enough to start installing products with a team of his own. In 2016, after two years at the University of Manitoba, Mitch decided to join the family business full time. He has since become the General Manager of Lakeside Enterprises and looks forward to continuing his dad’s commitment to provide quality products, installations, and customer service.

Today Mike and Mitch work together to provide you with exceptional products and customer service.

Where do we operate?

We operate in all of Manitoba and specialize in the Eastern region’s terrain (Whiteshell Provincial Park, Falcon Lake, West Hawk Lake, Lac Du Bonnet, Lee River, etc). We have driven, floated, or flown to almost every lake in Manitoba.

We also work in Northwest Ontario including Lake of the Woods, Kenora, Sioux Narrows, and surrounding areas.

We are willing to travel to bring our products to you.
