There is no such thing as

OVERBUILT

What Sets Us Apart?

WE SIMPLY BUILD THINGS TO LAST

After over 30 years of designing, engineering, manufacturing, installing, and servicing Docks, Boat Lifts, Decks, and much more we know that our products withstand the test of time. In a world plagued with “planned obsolescence” you can rest assured that we believe in making products for life, not the moment. From the design, the materials we choose, and our welding process to the final installation everything we do is to provide you with the best possible product and service that will last you a lifetime.

FULLY CUSTOMIZED FOR YOU AND MANITOBA MADE

We are not just another “dock-in-a-box” company. All of our products are custom made to fit your needs and wants without the headaches that come from D.I.Y or homemade products. Everything is made in house at our shop in Rennie Manitoba.

EXPERT INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, AND SERVICE

With over 30 years of experience installing Docks, Decks, and Boat Ramps (Rail Lifts) you can rest easy knowing that your investment has been installed properly. Building it is only half the battle.

DOUBLE WELDED

All of our products are welded on the top and the bottom. This nearly doubles the amount of welding and dramatically increases the strength and longevity of our products.

TRUE TRUSSING

All of our products are designed and built to utilize True Trussing. A “true” truss has continuous webs (the triangles) that are all connected without any gaps. Any place where a gap is left between the webs a weak spot is created due to the web under load not being able to distribute the load across the entire trussed frame.

On the collapsed Boat Lift in the upper picture you can see that there were 4” gaps between the webs which led to the failure.

Two of our Boat Lifts are picture below. The further one is a 5000 lb capacity and the closer one is an 6500 lb capacity. Note how our webs are all touching.

We also use the traditional form of trussing that is made from solid 1/8” angle iron and 3/8” thick webs. From our experience it is more durable and can withstand more lateral force (from dock mounts) than laser cut and folded trussing.

HIGH STRENGTH STEEL

We only use steel to manufacture our products. Welded steel is the only material that has been proven to withstand the test of time. Have you ever seen an Aluminum or Wood Bridge? After decades in the industry we have seen almost every failure point imaginable and improved our designs accordingly. There is no such thing as overbuilt.

ADJUSTABILITY

All of our systems have fully adjustable and replaceable legs. This means that you can adjust your foundation, deck, dock, or boat ramp (lift) if something shifts without the need for cutting and welding equipment. Our leg system is also fully replaceable so if something ever happens you can simply remove the old leg and slide in a new one within minutes.

OUR CHOICE OF CABLES

Unlike most companies we use rust proof Stainless Steel cables if the cables will be sitting in or near water for an extended period of time (cables attached to ramps and docks). For cables that only see rain a most, we use fully Galvanized cables. No more premature cable replacements!

OUR CHOICE OF BOLTS

All of the bolts used in our products are Grade 8 (gold). They are stronger and resist rust better than Grade 5 (silver) bolts.

OPTIONAL GALVANIZING

All of our products have the option of being galvanized if you want your investment to resist the elements for even longer. Galvanizing adds a layer of zinc to the steel that prevents rusting.

STANDARD GALVANIZING

OUR BOAT RAIL LIFT SYSTEMS NOW COME GALVANIZED TO FURTHER EXTEND THEIR LIFESPAN

Our legs/supports come standard with a galvanized finish as well as all of our bases for our legs. Also our cross legs (braces) are all galvanized. No matter what product it is, the legs/supports are the first thing to rust out, galvanizing them can nearly triple their life span.

STANDARD PRIME AND PAINT

Our products come standard with a coat of Rust Primer and a coat of Rust Paint. This cost effective solution is easy to maintain with a simple can of spray paint.

ROUND LEGS/SUPPORTS

We use round galvanized legs/supports on all of our products. Unlike square legs, our legs will never freeze and split when they are full of water. Round legs also provide equal strength in all directions and can rotate to sit perfectly on the bottom.

TREATED DECKING

Pressure Treated 2”x6” decking comes standard on all of our Decks, Docks, Stairs, Landings, and Foundations. We are also capable of incorporating many non-wood (composite) solutions.

PIVOTING BASES

All of the bases that attach to the legs of our products have the ability to pivot up to 20 degrees. This allows our legs to sit firmly in place no matter the terrain. This is especially important for Lift Docks and Boat Ramps that have to land in the same spot every year despite changes to the lake bottom due to wave action or erosion.

OUR LIFT SYSTEMS

Most of our lifting products come with an “A”-Frame style lift paired with a Worm Gear winch that you can turn into an electric winch by spinning the handle with a drill. “A”-Frames have superior strength and stability when compared to a basic “Single Pole” lift that has only one pole with a winch on it. The Worm Gear winches we use are the safest and easiest to use on the market, simply turn the handle one way for up and the other way for down. There is no spring-loaded lock to worry about, and you don’t have to worry about the winch “free spooling” when you are lowering. For smaller systems we still offer the light duty, and budget friendly, Single Pole with a crank winch.

WHY CARRY WHEN YOU CAN HINGE?

Our Lift Docks, Boat Ramps, Sea Doo Ramps, Stairs, and Arched Walkway systems allow you to simply hinge them up and out of the water for the winter. You no longer need to get in the water to physically carry the pieces out.

INDUSTRY LEADING FLOATS

We use low profile foam injected floats on all of our Floating Docks and Arched Walkways. By sitting lower to the water, and having a large surface area on the water, these floats provide superior flotation without sacrificing stability. Our choice of float prevents the dock from being “shaky”, “wobbly”, or “sea sickening”. The foam inside the floats allows your dock to keep floating even if a float is damaged.

ARCHED WALKWAYS

All of our Walkways (ramps) for Floating Docks are arched, heavily reinforced, and have at least one float on the end. Our Floating Dock systems do not require any down rigging (chains) for stability or strength, all thanks to our Arched Walkway design. The arch prevents the walkway from being “bouncy”, making it safer and more comfortable to walk down. The reinforcements make the Walkway strong enough to withstand the movement of the Floating Dock even in the worst weather conditions. The float(s) at the end of the Arched Walkway counter the added weight of the walkway on the floating dock when the water is low and allows you to remove your dock for the year without the worry that your walkway will fall to the bottom of the lake. The arch, reinforcements, and floats allow you to use a longer walkway. The longer the walkway the lesser the angle, the safer it is. We offer Walkways up to 24 feet long.

ELECTRIC WINCHES

The Electric Winches we use on our Boat Ramps, Sea Doo Ramps, and Man Lifts are custom built in house using only the strongest and most durable components. Our winches are fully weather proof and can sit outside all year. Some customers have their winches go completely underwater every spring and they still run. Our winches simply plug into a standard 120 Volt outlet.

EASE OF USE

All of our products have been designed with the end user in mind. We have over 150 seasonal install/take-out customers, many of which do not have our products and we know what is and is not easy to use. Our designs make your chores as quick and easy as possible. Example: Our Ramp systems come with a “cheater cable” and a holder that extends your lift cable out of the water and clips to the frame so it doesn’t slide back into the lake. This means you don’t have to go into the cold water to connect your “A”-Frame’s cable to your Boat Ramp.

20180612_151134.jpg

EASE OF MAINTENANCE

All of our docks come standard with removable decking (Pallets) that are held in place with Dock Plates and Bolts. These bolts are quickly and easily removed from the top side thanks to the nuts being welded to the dock frame. This grants easy access to the frame, legs, or floats making adjustments or repairs, such as replacing Floats or adjusting Legs, a breeze. We also use Anti-seize on all leg socket bolts as well as Pallet Bolts so they come out easily even year later.
