Since Floating Docks don't lift "L" shapes are great addition, not only for esthetics but for ease of parking water craft. For this project we started by reinforcing the existing wood deck with our Post Pocket leg system and added Cross Legs to keep it ridged. We then returned with the Arched Walkway and Floating Dock system. Every set of stairs we make is custom built to not only match the shoreline but match your needs. This particular set of stairs has only 6" tall steps. They were made to allow a family member who can only lift their leg 6" to enjoy the lake with the rest of the family. There are two different types of Water Stairs. Lifting and non-lifting. A lifting set of stairs comes with the same style of mounts and lift as our Lift Docks so you can easily winch it up for the winter. Non-lifting stairs are carried out by hand. We get asked all the time, "What can I do about my old concrete patio?". The answer? Cover it with one of our Adjustable Steel Decks. When concrete starts to fail there aren't many options. One is to bring in a huge machine and rip it all out and start from the beginning again. Another is to try to pour more concrete on top but this has a high failure rate due to the concrete below further breaking apart. The other option is to hide it with a deck, but not just any deck. As the concrete continues to erode and break apart there will be a need to adjust the supports under the deck. With our steel decks there is ample room for adjustments on every leg support so the deck ontop can remain level. We can also remove legs completely and replace them with longer legs if needed in about 20 minutes. It wasn't Ice or Rust that ended its life. It was a dredging machine! While digging out the Falcon Lake Boat House channel this ramp got caught by the machine and bent. Who would have guessed! We pulled it out and installed a fresh new unit except for the electric winch.
